With passage of the Health Care Reform Act the administration is patting itself on the back for it's many consumer protections.  One of these extra protections, coverage for children with pre-existing conditions has been heavily promoted.  President Obama has been quoted as saying, "Children who have pre-existing conditions are going to be covered."

This rule, along with several others officially became law on September 23.
